Financial Controller

Job description / Role

Salary: AED 20,000 per month plus family flight and family health insurance.

We’ve been given an exclusive mandate to recruit for a manufacturing business in JLT which was recently acquired by a very large multinational. The company is therefore going through a lot of change, including systems integrations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and long range business plans
- Review monthly results and prepare monthly variance analysis / reporting as compared to budget / forecast. Recommend/ discuss corrective action plan with team members and other division managers;
- Contribute in the company’s decision-making process through provision of appropriate financial information and analysis;
- Ensure accurate financial accounting and fiscal reporting to local management
- Plan and control local expenditure
- Work closely with the CFO
- Identify and recommend potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices;
- Support statutory / internal audits;
- Maintain the price / commercial conditions masters data;
- Work with the supply chain team to ensure timely generation of customer invoices, credit notes and ensure cut off of revenue recognition on a monthly basis;
- Reconcile Sales Ledger on a monthly basis to confirm sales reporting;
- Prepare and circulate Sales Dash Board for Sales In and Sales out on a monthly basis;
- Review and Approve expenses

Requirements

- Experienced accountant with at least 5 years operating in a mid-management role in a commercial business
- Commercially aware
- Excellent communicator
- Outgoing personality
- Candidates who have only ever worked in audit will NOT be considered
- Must be living in Dubai currently
- Experience of using SAP is an advantage
- Qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA
- This is a young team – the CFO is 35 years old. Candidates should therefore be no older than 30 years of age.
