Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Financial Controller will be reporting to the GM and take ownership of the team and the Financial Reporting and Controls. The Financial Controller is responsible for the general ledgers of all the entities within the Group as well as Budgets, Forecasts, Cash Flow, Ration Analysis and Project Financial Modelling. The Financial Controller is also responsible for statutory reporting for all business units.

To lead the Operational Finance (financial accounting and statutory financial reporting) and Inventory teams for the Group and its subsidiaries to produce monthly results that are valid, accurate and complete. To ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

- Responsibility for analysis, forecasting, budgeting, etc
- Preparation/review of annual financial information for relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain Policies and Internal Control processes
- Cash Flow Management & Reporting
- Treasury Function overseeing all flows of funds and bank reconciliations
- Prepare Draft Financial Statements pre Audit
- Leads cost reduction projects and works with leadership to reduce costs and/or add value cost-effectively
- Supervise all routine financial accounting functions up to finalization of management, statutory reporting and intercompany accounting
- Manage, develop and lead the Finance Department for the Group
- Prepare Monthly Management Accounts for the Group entities whilst taking full responsibility for signing off, reviewing and ensuring continuity of control standards throughout the organization
- Financial system development and improvement
- Directs or provides ad hoc financial analysis related to revenue and costs for new products and services, new technology, etc
- Provides accurate financial models and feasibility studies for new projects
- Prepare monthly cost centre reports
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Inventory management
- Performs other related duties as required

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics – CPA/CMA/ACCA/CIMA preferred
- Management-level experience in similar position is required
- 5-7 years related experience, including management of professionals and Budgets, Forecasts, and Cash Flow Modeling ideally in F&B or similar industries with exposure to Inventory accounting
- ERP Experience and Advanced Excel is a must
- Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Takes initiative, works independently
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing and developing teams (coaching, motivation, delegation)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
