Financial Controller

Job description / Role

Opportunity for a bright individual to undertake a rewarding permanent role in a busy team for one of our clients in UAE. The company is a well known, high profile Property Developer with the headquarters in Dubai, and many branches spread out across multiple continents.

* Ensuring that all the company policies and procedures relating to the financial check and balances are functioning appropriately
* Reviewing , upgrading, revising and developing suitable internal control mechanisms
* Taking a leading role in ensuring that receivables are collecting in an efficient manner
* Ensuring that appropriate levels of insurance are in place
* Coordinating with GM Finance in sharing best practice with the group on insurance levels
* Performing continuous analysis of revenue and cost trends to ensure that the management is furnished with effective decision making data
* Producing and presenting monthly and ad hoc management reporting across PnL, balance sheet, cash flows and capex projects
* Coordinating annual budget process for the company and thus ensuring the soundness of data being fed into the process
* Re-forecasting the budget each month and coordinating with AFGRE mgt reporting team for overall real estate consolidation
* Responsible for completion and accuracy of Cash Flow Planning and identifying sources and applications
* Working with internal audit to identify areas of risk and contribute toward internal audit objectives

Requirements

* A degree in Finance / Commerce / Accountancy with extensive knowledge of Financial management and Accounting systems
* Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the field of Financial Management, preferably with Property Management experience,
* 5 years experience at a managerial level
