Finishing Operator (Printing)

Job description / Role

- Acts and behaves in a way that is compliant with company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environment, Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct.
- Operates automated inspection machines or systems to record and informs the Finishing Supervisor of sheet form and single notes for quality.
- Sorts and bands notes into amounts directed by customer order.
- Adds shrink wrap to bound notes as directed by customer order.
- Checks and collates notes and packs them in order in the correct containers ready for dispatch
- Renumbers and creates specimens when required.
- Sets up machinery and operates all machinery necessary for the role.
- Able to recognize customer requirements as detailed on the Bank Note Order.
- Creates color books and singles when required.
- Balances single note stocks.
- Actively supports continuous improvement activities within the whole of CPF in order to maintain the company’s efficiency and competitiveness.
- Supports 5S and lean principles within the facility.

Requirements

- Minimum of a high school diploma or vocational training in print finishing operations
- Minimum of 1 year of banknote printing industry experience, particularly in finishing operations

Skills
- Proficient in English
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Numeracy and literacy skills
- Computer literate
- Knowledgeable of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledgeable of banknote printing production processes and quality control
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be capable of performing physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials
