Fit Out Specialist - Electrical (Aviation) - Limited Term Contract

Job description / Role

Our client from Aviation industry is now looking to recruit a Fit-out Specialist-Electrical, who will be responsible for providing electrical subject matter expertise and support to all Fitout projects executed by company Framework Contractors and Stakeholders . The job holder will be also responsible for reviewing and approving the electrical element of fitout proposals developed by clients or client appointed consultants, as well as ensuring that the works executed on site align to approved designs and international standards.

This is a one year contract with a possibility of extension

Responsibilities include,

• Manage the Electrical design ensuring that projects are subjected to the required due diligence to ensure consistent quality of built assets with a predictable operational outcome
• Liaise and integrate with all relevant engineering disciplines to ensure the preparation of coordinated a design that meets the Clients quality, budget and time requirements.
• Support in the selection of various subcontractors and outsourced service providers to ensure that the company benefits from the engagement of a competitive, quality assured and performance driven supply chain focused on a mutually supportive long term relationship.
• Collaborate with third parties to ensure that Fit out projects undertaken by service providers are conducted in line with the agreed Project Management Plan
• Managing the construction and entry into service of the Fit-out projects ensuring that they are subjected to the required due diligence to ensure consistent quality of delivered assets with a predictable operational outcome.
• Supervising project execution and provide guidance to internal and external resources involved in order to ensure optimal balance between operational integrity, capacity declarations and project expediency.
• Ensuring the proactive and ongoing identification and evaluation of any project-related risks, including but not limited to safety, security, capacity, operability and sustainability concerns
• Continuously monitor and report the progress of the Fit out Design – Electrical workstream projects in terms of safety, budget, schedule, quality etc.

Requirements

The job holder will possess good knowledge in,

• Engineering and Design in support of Fit out activities predominantly within airport terminal buildings and associated supporting infrastructure
• Design activities such as Electrical system design, Low Voltage Switchgears, MCCs, SMDB, DBs, Energy Management, ECBS, UPS, Illuminated Signage’s and other Electrical equipment’s.
• Project risk management tools including HAZOPS and safety cases
• A minimum experience of 8 years in planning, design, procurement and construction of complex, time critical airport terminal programmes / Fit out projects of work within a regulated, operationally constrained and customer service focused environment (Electrical biasing)
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to Engineering/Construction/Project Management
• Ideally registered as Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or international equivalent) with an appropriate professional body
