Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Aim high and be part of a leading sports retail brand in the GCC.

Purpose: To assist the brand manager for planning/buying and cascading the directions from Buying Manager to allocators/junior buyers thereby achieving the business objective.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product buying plans to meet key business objectives & financial goals.
- Ensure profitability while aligning customer purchasing trends with product offers in retail stores.
- Analyze historical data & current trends to identify current & future risks & opportunities
- Create clear, comprehensive product plans to ensure profitability by maintaining & building consumer focused brand lines.
- Support all product promotional activities in the stores and proactively work with the Training Department to ensure up-to- date product training is delivered to the stores.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales turnover and customer trends per product to arrive at decision to maintain, liquidate or dispose-off the stock, and-or continue/discontinue the product line.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Buying/ Merchandising
- Experience in fitness equipment and accessories as a buyer.
- A good understanding of online channels
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to deal with complex data, analyse results and present solutions
