Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The team works across a variety of financial services regulatory areas, including:
- Regulatory Change and Transformation;
- Capital and Liquidity Management;
- Regulatory Framework Development;
- Market Reforms and Integration;
- Anti-Money Laundering;
- OFAC and Sanctions Compliance; and,
- Regulator Mandated Inspections.

The FSRA team sits within Deloitte’s wider Financial Advisory Services (FAS) team in the Middle East; the team provides expert advice to a diverse range of clients in the areas of Infrastructure and Capital Projects (I&CP), M&A advisory, due diligence, forensics, valuations and real estate. Integrating with other teams within the FAS practice other work we undertake includes project finance, capital raising, vendor due diligence, financial modelling and project impact assessments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake work related to proposal preparation, assignments planning, quality assurance, budgeting, training of consultants, practice development, and business planning in the functional areas under direction of Director.
- Lead the development of analysis, reports, and projects for clients.
- Cultivate relationships with clients and possess a strong knowledge.
- Employ a structured approach to project management to ensure complete client satisfaction and project profitability.
- Develop your expertise in a relevant specialisation and your reputation as an advisor
- Contribute to practice growth and development.
- Coach and mentor junior team members to their highest potential.
- Interface with clients' management and personnel and managing client relationships and expectations
- Assisting in hiring, training and developing staff.
- Supervising an advisory team.
- Participating in financial planning activity.
- Attending client meetings.
- Assisting in selling regulatory advisory services directly to clients.
- Providing expertise on cross functional issues including strategy, planning, and industry best practices.
- Timely, accurate and relevant internal reporting.
- Serving a variety of clients within multiple parts of the financial services sector.

Requirements

- Relevant tertiary education from recognized institution.
- 5 to 8 years’ experience with industry, consulting or banking firms with experience working on regulatory issues and risks.
- GCC experience preferable.
- Full mobility to travel.

COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrates robust knowledge of relevant financial, regulatory, and technical issues alongside a strong business and economic understanding of our core clients.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of basic financial analysis that impacts major projects and procurements.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience of at least one sector of the financial market (e.g. retail or investment banking; asset management; insurance, etc.).
- Demonstrable technical knowledge in a core area for the FSRA team.
- Ability to quickly develop further technical specialties within existing core service areas for the FSRA team or new areas of client offerings.
- Demonstrated ability or potential to manage people and plan components of engagements along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
- Good knowledge in the consulting functional areas of designing, structuring and developing complex procurements business planning, concept development/refinement, feasibility studies, market studies, operational improvements. -• Good knowledge of professional management principles, theories, and practices; guidelines or precedents applicable to kinds of problems encountered; trends, current developments, and plans for future developments in financial management; organizational structures and functions; and operating programs, and policies.
- Communicates in a clear, concise and relevant manner to assist and guide senior team members and clients.
- Produces clear, concise, and well-structured written work and has a good grasp of the English language.
- Is comfortable preparing graphs and tables in excel that clearly support findings and transferring these into a formatted power point report.
- Strong Interpersonal & Communication skills.
- Motivated, dedicated, dynamic & hard worker.
- Proficiency in English and preferably Arabic (written and spoken)
- Willing to work hours as needed to meet client deadlines and firm needs.
- Good understanding of business dynamics and operations.
- Strong proficiency in basic PC applications with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
