This is your opportunity to join Deloitte's growing Forensic Technology team in the Middle East. The Forensic Technology team is part of the leading Forensic & Disputes practice in the region. You will use your technical skills to help investigate a wide variety of matters including cyber breaches, IP theft, fraud and corruption. Our high profile client base includes many large corporates and household names along with many law firms and some smaller companies. One of the exciting aspects of our work is that no two investigations are the same so there are always new challenges to be faced.

Due to the project based nature of the work, every day is different and you must enjoy working with the client to understand their systems, with the aim of finding the ‘needle in the haystack’. For this particular role, we would expect you to be working on both cyber incident response investigations and computer forensic projects. As an Associate you will:
• Manage your own workload
• Deliver on time and to a high standard
• Work directly with senior technical staff assisting with client engagements
• Developing a role within the Forensic Technology team as a whole, supporting internal development opportunities and helping to grow the practice

Requirements

• A minimum of a 2:1 degree obtained in a field with emphasis on technical, analytical and/or problem-solving skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• An ability to build relationships and liaise with clients
• Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking capabilities
• The ability to manage and prioritize workload
• Experience of delivering projects as part of a team
• Flexibility on working hours and a willingness to work on projects abroad

Required Technical Skills
• Experience with using forensic software applications (EnCase, FTK, Helix, Cellebrite and XRY) and techniques to capture electronic data from computers, external media, networks and mobile data devices
• Experience in Malware analysis and using analysis tools such as Splunk, Elastic search, RSA Analytics/NetWitness or similar
• Experience of performing computer forensic analysis in support of litigation and/or investigation
• Understanding of evidence handling procedures and ACPO guidelines
• Experience in conducting data breach or security incident investigations and managing incident response programs
• Experience in analysis of network communication protocols and conducting analysis of network related evidence in support of intrusion detection and analysis
• Experience with advanced threats and network exploitation methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions on remediation and countermeasures for challenging information security threats

Additional desirable experience includes:
• Masters degree in a field with emphasis on computer security or investigations
• Experience in scripting or programming
• Systems or email administration experience (MCSE or equivalent certification)
• Broad knowledge of information and communication technologies and the diverse policies, practices, and technologies used to protect them
• A high degree of technical knowledge of computer hardware and software systems
• Certifications such as GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAS Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAS Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) or similar.
