Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a reputable multinational FMCG Group. This is a newly created position reporting directly to the VP Finance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Capital expenditure
- Lead the preparation of capital expenditure requests and post investment appraisal for all strategic projects with effective coordination between sales, engineering and operations teams.
- Implement controls around capital spend including tracking of spend against the CER, managing capital budget and forecast for the sector
- Participate in steering committee meetings for strategic capital projects to ensure project is being completed within time and in full in the allocated budget
- Ensure appropriate treasury and FX management relating to strategic capital projects
- Effectively contribute to the budget, forecast and monthly reporting processes from a capital expenditure perspective

Strategic planning
- Provide finance modelling support for new projects/scenarios to be included in the strategic planning process – both greenfield and M&A options
- Business partner with the business development team to provide support in the strategic planning process
- Effective coordination of the Head Office Corporate Development team and Strategic Planning team

New business – greenfield and M&A support
- Participate in the DD process for evaluation of M&A target. Lead the financial DD with effective liaison with external advisors.
- Assist with the preparation of a business case and led the financial modelling for evaluation of new M&A and greenfield projects
- Implement finance and control processes for any new plant build
- Part of integration team for the new businesses acquired and leading the finance functional integration

Commercial support
- Support the sales and commercial team in assessment of new options like a new size to be proposed to the customer. Provide finance support in evaluation of proposition to support new customer needs.

Other projects
- Lead or participate in new projects for the sector as required

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree as a minimum ideally professional accounting qualification – CA, CPA, ACCA
- 7 years’ proven financial experience in a multinational and multi-cultural business and team
- Experience of both FP&A environment with a strong base of internal controls
- Knowledge of financial management, analysis, banking operations and cost accounting
- Knowledge of changes/developments in taxation laws, accounting standards, corporate laws and other legislation pertaining to business processes
- Knowledge of budget preparation, managing a budget, forecasting likely spending and income
- Knowledge of foreign exchange environment and basic level derivatives contracts.
- SAP and Hyperion knowledge
- Ability to conduct financial analysis with the help of techniques such as budgetary control, marginal cost analysis, ratio analysis, sensitivity analysis etc.
- Ability to use latest statistical techniques for data analysis
- Great sense of priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to manage and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders particularly at sector and group level
- A strong commercial focus
- The ability to understand complex problems and apply knowledge to find efficient solutions
