Job description / Role
Puffy is seeking for a passionate Front End Developer to help take our customer e-commerce experience to the next level. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert for building, improving, and maintaining the eCommerce UX/UI across all our digital touchpoints. Expectations include the execution of rapid, clean, optimized, HTML/CSS/Javascript/Liquid that transforms design assets into engaging and powerful brand experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Converting PSD into clean and flexible HTML and CSS (SCSS) using BEM methodology
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Writing clean and high-quality code
• Use responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices.
• Conduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues.
• Adding custom functionality to the Shopify platform/custom Shopify theme development
• Designing and producing engaging content in various formats across multiple digital platforms
• Crafting high-quality original concepts with minimal direction
• Prioritizing workload and managing expectations per direction from Lead Developer
• Working in collaboration with internal department to achieve brand objectives
Requirements
Skills/Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of UX/UI development experience
• Top-notch programming skills and extensive knowledge with HTML, CSS (SCSS, SMACSS), JavaScript
• A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and best development practices
• Basic knowledge with versioning code such as Git
• Prior experience in developing a front-end e-commerce website
• Ability to plan and execute projects on time
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment
