General Accountant

Job description / Role

General Accountant (Sales & Logistics)
• Analyzing accounting records and making data entry into the system
• Overseeing accurate & appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
• Formulating and maintaining various reports like Age daily Cash Flow Report, accounts Payables, accounts Receivables, Intercompany/Bank Reconciliations, Monthly Closing Entries, Pre-payments Schedule, Provisions and Management Reports.
• Manage the warehouse operation in the absence on the warehouse keeper.
• Responsible of the General Ledger maintenance, Intercompany Ledger Reconciliations and Payable Module.
• Responsible for preparation of financial statements in accordance with Accounting Standards
• Perform the closing procedures for the periodical closings as monthly, quarterly and yearend Closings.
• Major Involvement in Open-source ERP (ODOO ERP) by Leading the cross-functional team on ODOO implementation and delivering the needed training for the end users (as a super user) to ensure project success.
• Working on VAT for input and Output for Payment.
• Reviewing purchase orders before they are processed to ensure that they comply with company policies
• Preparing and analyzing the Management Information System (ODOO) reports, providing feedback to the Management on Financial performance.
• Reviewing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in order to make strategic business decisions
• Ad hoc reports required by Management.

Requirements

Accountant requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting with relevant work experience of two to four years in the uae.
• Excellent understanding of accounting reporting standards and principles
• Awareness of business trends
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Excellent understanding of the warehousing & logistic operation.
• Excellent accounting software user with appropriate ODOO ERP experience.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Developed Communication Skills
