Job description / Role
The General Counsel will be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our organisation and ensuring that all legal matters are handled in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the investment fund industry and be familiar with the regulatory environment in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.

Description
* Provide legal guidance and support to the organisation on a variety of matters, including investment transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management
* Advise on the structuring and formation of investment vehicles, including funds and SPVs
* Draft and negotiate legal agreements, including investment documents, service provider contracts, and vendor agreements
* Review and advise on legal and regulatory filings, including offering memorandums, prospectuses, and regulatory filings
* Liaise with external legal counsel on complex legal matters
* Stay up-to-date with relevant legal and regulatory developments and advise the organisation on their potential impact

Requirements
* LLB and LLM from accredited university
* Admission to practice law in the UAE or other relevant jurisdiction
* 10-15 years of experience practising Law, with at least 5 years of experience in the investment fund industry
* Strong knowledge of investment fund regulations and compliance requirements in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions
* Excellent drafting and negotiating skills, with experience in drafting complex legal agreements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders
* A team player with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and on budget
