Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- To assist the accounting department by providing general accounting and financial reporting services.
- General ledger analysis & reconciliation;
- Prepares monthly closing entries for subsidiaries and balance related intercompany accounts;
- Participate in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly close.
- Ensure financial records (including journal entries and supporting documents) are maintained according to TDIC policy and management directions.
- Perform monthly reconciliation for Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
- Investigate accounting discrepancies and irregularities, recommend solutions and corrections.
- Perform Cash spot check and random spot checks.
- Review Payroll journals for TDIC and other entities and coordinate with Payroll Team before posting in GL.
- Evaluate and make suggestions regarding the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments and distribute information for analysis and clearing of financial issues required.
- Assist auditors (internal and external) queries and participate in audit special assignments.
- Other general ledger analysis & reconciliation duties as assigned.
- Other periodic reporting tasks as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
- Masters Degree / post graduate qualification (CPA, ACCA) is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience in real estate, property development and construction.
- 5 years experience in accounting, audit, payments, sales accounting, receivable management, fixed asset accounting, banking, payroll and Management Information System.
- Accounting, Interpersonal Sensitivity, Organizational Awareness, Teamwork
- Knowledge and experience in the real-estate development industry.
- In-depth knowledge and preparation of general ledger analysis and recon.
- Knowledge of IFRS and IAS
- Knowledge of ERP System Oracle.
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Strong analytical and management skills.
