Job description / Role
Charterhouse are currently working with a consultancy and risk management client, whom are in the process of looking to hire a General Ledger (GL) Accountant, based within their Dubai regional office.
This role shall oversee all areas of entries and management across the GL; in support of the statutory accounting function which in turn has responsibility for financial closing, audit management and account analysis for any MIS and/or management-base reporting functionality.
This role shall be heavily geared toward the posting of all invoice and journal entries, across the accounting systems, whilst reviewing financial documents for accuracy, filing and any reconciliation purpose. In conjunction, the role will also focus on the update of financial data, within the fixed asset register and journals, linking to any pre-payments and payroll provisions.
Requirements
The client will look to recruit a Degree qualified and/or part-qualified Accountant whom can demonstrate a solid background and understanding of accounting principles; whilst also possessing strong data management, spreadsheeting and data analysis skills. The client will also look for a candidate whom can support statutory filing and audit processes, aligned to any compliance and governance requirements, geared both internally and externally.
The nature of the organisation and industry means, that candidates are also required to manage and oversee any ad-hoc reporting and/or project work, in support of commercial team and objectives requiring strong reporting and presentation capabilities.
