Job description / Role
• Build and execute yearly business plans, including key objectives, strategies, enablers
• Generate revenues and net profits, improve classification
• Deliver in time high quality construction
• Be informed about the industry (news, laws, events)
• Manage and motivate the team
• On site health and security
• Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed, and monitor local compliance with laws and regulation as well as Group processes
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the company
Requirements
Education:
• Master’s degree in Engineering / business administration
Experience:
• Min 10 years’ experience in construction
• Min 3 years’ experience as a GM or MD in a main contracting company
• Industry experience in key local (Abu Dhabi) player
• Experience in building residential villas
• Management of a direct team of minimum 10
• Management of subcontractors
• Experience in English-speaking environment
Knowledge:
• Abu Dhabi market
• Classification process
• Project Management
• Business Plan including P&L and cash flow
• Contracts including industry specific (e.g. measurable contracts)
• Project financing: bank guarantees, performance bonds, other options
Skills & Abilities:
• Management skills: team selection, motivation, performance appraisal, organization, discipline, ways of working
• Negotiation skills
• Intercultural skills
• Good presentation skills
• Team player
Language & IT:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• MS Office skills
• CRM, ERP, project management systems or software
