General Manager - Finance - Investment Management - Al Futtaim Group - Dubai, UAE

This position of General Manager –Finance will be responsible for preparing AFIM and Al Futtaim Capital LLC financial and management accounts on a timely and accurately monthly basis to the SEO, Group Finance (D+2) and the Company Board’s.

The General Manager will ensure that the Fund’s statutory and management accounts are prepared by the Fund Administrator on a timely and accurately monthly/quarterly/semi-annual basis and distributed to the AFIM Board and Senior Management.

He/She will provide guidance and assistance to the SEO in the ongoing review of the Company business plan, execution strategy and Group Finance budget reviews, and assist department managers implement strategic plans and provide support as needed to achieve Company’s and Fund’s objectives.

Besides, the General Manager will be responsible for maintaining and compliance with AFIM policies and procedures regarding accounting, treasury, IT and HR. He/she will ensure compliance with Fund investment mandate and Group Undertakings.

The role responsibilities also include to identify, document and manage all risks related to the finance, IT and HR functions as well as overseeing AFIM’s implementation of internal and external auditors’ / consultants’ recommendations.

The General Manager will also manage the overall due diligence process, ensuring compliance by all Business Unit Managers and external advisors (tax, legal, financial, risk, operations, etc…) with respect to the Funds investments including support of acquisition and divesture. He/she will provide Financial, Operational and Risk review and oversight on each investment proposal and evaluate the financial and regulatory implications on business decisions.

Requirements

- Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum Experience: 10-15 years post qualification experience, of which at least 5 years in a Senior Managerial level, commercial awareness & strong analytical skills, experience in a Regulated Financial Services firm.

Job-Specific Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, complete honesty and integrity, decision making ability. In addition, high level of competence in working with full MS Office suite. Competence in working with SAP would be advantageous.
