Job description / Role
Client is one of the leading developers and operators of power and water desalination plants across the GCC, Eastern Europe and North Africa, is looking for an experienced International HR professional to join their team as General Manager of Human Resources for their International Division.
The key responsibilities of the role will involve designing and executing the people initiatives across the business and drive results. In addition to this the successful candidate will be tasked with,
- Being responsible for all of their International HR Business initiatives and resources
- The implementation of International assignment agreements, driving nationalisation in each country
- Leading the execution of strategic initiatives in all International projects
- Anticipate, identify and resolve people related issues and build relationships with Regional Management teams to address these issues
- Actively participate in the company’s strategic business plan with regards to people planning, rewards and recognition
- Schedule, plan and conduct department meetings to ensure departmental productivity and goals are achieved
- Participate in local government related activities to promote the company’s brand image
- Complete annual performance evaluation of reporting employees
- Identify and control hazards in the work area
- Manage the visa availability of each country
Requirements
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferable
- Minimum of 13 years’ experience in senior Human Resources
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the region
- Awareness of quality and occupational health and safety
- Knowledge of applicable legal requirements
- Experience in dealing with hazard risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills, English language skills must be very strong
- Very strong when working under pressure, handling significant problems and tasks which can arise unexpectedly
- Experience in writing reports and statistical data analysis
