Employment: Full Time

Our client is a well-known Multi National Company based in Jebel Ali and works in the manufacturing and instillation industry with clients in the Oil and Gas, Power and Commercial sectors.

Due to an internal promotion and drive for excellence they are seeking an experienced General Manager to join their ever growing team.

Reporting to the Global Aftermarket Manager, this General Manager is an exciting role where you will take over the overall operations and Controls, Plans and develops the Power &Industrial division middle east businesses in terms of compliance (Corporate and Local), profitability, efficiency and allowing the Global Aftermarket Manager to step back and focus on the strategic development of the global operations.

This is a role where your decision making and analytical skills will be put to good use. Managing 9 direct reports, you will handle the finalization of all Local legal, banking, finance, ISO standards, production and administrative compliance with all governmental and non-governmental authorities and departments of the 3 offices within Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Jebel Ali to enhance the productivity of the company.

In this busy environment you must have exceptional multitasking, organization skills, have no problems meeting deadlines, communication skills and employee management engagement will be essential. Retaining your energetic personality with the ability to handle a high work load and do this with a smile will be a unique skill.

Job Responsibilities:

• Corporate compliance with all applicable criteria
• Strict control of the processes and developments as applicable
• Achieving and maintaining ISO standards as applicable (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001 for the UAE offices including the filter production facility)
• Year on year plan, analyse, develop and expand the filter manufacturing facility for a compliant, profitable & efficient operations
• Formulates and recommends policies and objectives to ensure the most effective operation of project execution and engineering activities. Ensures that approved policies and objectives are fully understood by all assigned personnel.
• Full P&L and planning responsibility
• Implement cost reduction initiatives to improve profitability of the company
• Development of capital requirements and spending budgets and decisions for local facilities
• Achieve quality and reliability levels consistent with Company objectives, standards, requirements and customer expectations.
• Human Resources - assure compliance with Company policies, local law. Maintain a skilled and competent workforce managerial, salaried and hourly (Production), in line with PCM Philosophies
• Organizational Development - Ensure appropriate and adequate utilization of labour, Machinery and equipment. Implement change/improvements.
• Co-ordinates the implementation of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
• Manages Head of Departments and other employees by establishing goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance and recommending individual merit and promotional increases.
• Achieving best practices and processes of Health and Safety aspects.
• Development of manufacturing, engineering and project execution strategy to attain #1 position in the market place.
• Facilitates support from the Jebel Ali (MFAS Aftermarket HQ for ME and Asia) entity for the centralized shared operational services to Non-Middle Eastern regions in line with the respective territories ( CIS, SEA..etc) project and strategy requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• 15 years’ experience and 5 years in a similar level role
• Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing/Environmental Engineering
• Arabic speaking candidate is preferred
• Experience with Manufacturing/Project Management/Engineering Management is a must.
