Job description / Role
Performs digital media management and handling including, media maintenance, backup, ets, in accordance with established and technological standards. Investigates and handles problems related to data/ media and recommends corrective action to senior GeoData System analyst.
Process request for digital data transcription including media retrieval and replacement, data verification, investigation and handling of media /data problems, tape labeling, preparing input/output conversion list, producing header dumps, completing tape copy monitor log reporting and paperwork completion.
Requirements
* Completion of Bachelor's Degree in computer Science, Information Management or equivalent.
* 5 years experience in computer Operation in Oil industry with good exposure to information management technology and handling of tape drives sub-systems.
* Good knowledge of English

The facility currently known as Mussafah Offshore Supply Base (MOSB) is strategically located at the Industrial hub of Mussafah approximately 40kms by road from the city center of Abu Dhabi.
