Geotechnical Design Engineers
We are recruiting talented Geotechnical Design engineers for both our client's UAE office and Qatar office. Their Geotechnical Design Engineers are working as part of a team, carrying out geotechnical analysis, writing reports, advising clients. They are involved with projects of all sizes throughout the Middle East Region and their clients rely on them to provide brilliant solutions for foundations, slopes, piles, excavations, soil nails, soft ground, harbours, roads, jetties, tunnels, wind farms.
Requirements
Ideally suitable candidates will have an excellent understanding of geotechnics and related disciplines.
They will be comfortable in leading design teams on technically challenging projects, and will be able to identify and deliver value engineering solutions to clients. They will be capable of delivering high-quality engineering solutions that exceed client expectations, within budget and program.
The ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory authorities and project stakeholders is crucial. Our client's staff are expected to participate in business development and strategy development on an on-going basis.
* Considerable experience in the field of geotechnical works (preferably 10 years minimum)
* Proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to geotechnical works and proven ability to use relevant software
* Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
* Can effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships and always aiming to exceeding client expectations
* Management experience including experience of management systems for quality, financial and project controls
* Degree qualified in relevant field and achieved/working towards chartered status
* Chartered status or equivalent for a minimum of 7 to 10 years
* Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
* Represent and promote our client in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with their clients and potential clients
* Committed to Continued Professional Development
* Knowledge of the Arabic language is an advantage
* Knowledge of local legislation and its application a benefit
