Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Aim high and be part of a leading sports retail brand in the GCC.

Purpose: As a Design Manager with the GMG Marketing team, the candidate must bring an ability to blend regional sensibilities with designs that are inspired by world class brands. The ultimate design goal should be to create unparalleled brand experiences at all touch points.

Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently develop new conceptual ideas and to be at the upfront of the industry.
- Elevate brand experiences though designs that convey the concept objective across static/web mediums; design from concept to reality.
- Design in a way that incorporates brand, consumer and business insights. Use advanced design skills to create visuals and animation reflective of each brand/concept’s guidelines.
- Successfully turn around each design project on time and to manage multiple projects from concept to completion.
- Design and prepare scaled 2D/3D mockups, applying established standards, formats and guidelines.
- Source design-related marketing assets from brands. Adapt for regional requirements within assigned deadlines.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
- Manage corporate presentations through creative concepts and usage of relevant design software
- Supervise adaptation from suppliers/agencies to achieve desired output in campaign planning/execution.
- Articulately communicate design intent, impact and concepts through discussions with internal & external audiences.
- Work between cross-functional teams across the company.

Requirements

- University Degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic/Web Design
- 3 years management experience as a Lead Designer and/or Art Director. 8-10 years’ experience in Graphic Design, motion/web design, and other creative industry fields
- Creative, flexible, attention to detail, deadline and result oriented, able to work with tight deadlines and in high pressure situations.

Essential skill set:
- Adobe Master Collection (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop/etc.)
- Sketchup, Autodesk 3ds Max
- HTML/CSS, Flash, Java script, PHP, MySQL.
- MS-Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
