Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel gym, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for guests.
- Develop and implement engaging fitness programs catering to diverse guest preferences and fitness levels.
- Monitor equipment maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
- Conduct regular training sessions for gym\spa staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere in the gym, encouraging guest participation and adherence to fitness goals.
- Collaborate with the hotel management to organize special fitness events and promotions.
- Maintain accurate records of gym usage, equipment inventory, and guest feedback.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of excellence in service and hospitality.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a fitness instructor or team-leader role within a high-end hotel or fitness facility.
- Certification in fitness training or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for health and wellness, with a customer-focused mindset.
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
About the Company
Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
