Job description / Role
An opportunity has arisen to join a hidden gem of a restaurant in Dubai. Leading a small but dedicated team producing fresh, clean meals from scratch including all desserts & breads, maintaining costs, creating fresh, innovative menus and introducing new promotions, the Chef is the culinary leader.
Working closely with the General Manager & reporting to the Owner, all decisions are met by committee meetings giving everyone a chance to contribute to this busy, vibrant restaurant. A people person is preferred who can speak with guests, both regular and new to ensure their favourites are always available.
Requirements
The desired candidate comes from a Western background and is able to manage the team overseeing the production of all items. Working in tight conditions, strong organisation skills are required along with strength to maintain control during busy periods (400 - 500 covers on a Friday morning).
An experienced Head Chef is preferred, coming from an independent restaurant background with experience in Dubai, preferably here now. A creative chef who can constantly introduce fresh, new dishes while maintaining best sellers and introducing new product lines.
