An exceptionally stable organisation based in Sharjah is seeking a senior, experienced and dynamic Head of Accounts to join their Senior Finance Team. This role is an opportunity to work with the region’s most influential senior individuals in their field of expertise and you will therefore take full responsibility of a small team of mid-level and junior employees. However, the successful individual will also be very hands on in the day to day management and analysis of the finance function.

The role will provide in-depth financial analysis and forecasting to enable the Director and C-Suite Executive team to facilitate key strategic decisions for the organisation in both the short and long term. Therefore, enabling the company to achieve its overall objectives and planned future growth.

The Head of Accounts will develop and contribute to the accounting policies and system procedures, seeking constant improvements and efficiencies at all times and to ensure that full control is in place to facilitate the mitigation of risk. It is therefore essential that all statutory legalities on an international scale are adhered to and maintained in line with both the company and GAAP protocols. The role also requires those with exceptional analytical skills to provide economic evaluations and industry intelligence through structured reporting mechanisms concerning CAPEX, OPEX, AR & AP, budgetary monitoring and of course, a firm control of the overall P&L. Fully Involved in the internal and external audits and 3rd party liaison, you will be encouraged to provide guidance and recommendations to your immediate team and at group level to foster a continuously improving environment to further develop best practices. Reporting to the Finance Director, it is also expected that you will work closely together to liaise with all the relevant governmental authorities and company partner representatives on a global scale.

Requirements

This is a senior Head of Accounts role and we therefore require experienced individuals whom are both operational and strategic in their day to day work. You should possess excellent communication skills and be competent in the delivery of financial evidence analysis reports, capable of presenting such to the most senior Executive level individuals within the organisation.

To apply for this vacancy we require candidates who hold a finance degree and possess additional associated accreditations such as CA or CIMA. Experience in a similar role with senior level management responsibilities and reporting structure are also required. It is expected that you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial role within a relevant sector and an outstanding knowledge of all accounting and finance best practices, policies and systems to bring efficiency development to this well established team.
