Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

You will report into the heads of the retail business and responsible for control testing and processes, business continuity, self assessment, risks, compliance.

You will establish, implement and monitor components of quality control processes, compliance and operational efficiency across the retail banking group.

You will audit end to end processes to confirm compliance of policies across the retail group.

Take leadership on reviewing and enhancing end to end processes that relate to existing and new services from retail banking.

The incumbent needs to work with Business/ Functional Heads UAE to identify gaps in significant risks and have a process to facilitate rectification of the gaps. He/She will also be responsible for making recommendations on process improvements.
- Take leadership and ownership into implementing corrective actions agreed post Audit commencement
- Take complete responsibility of BRCC and RCSA coordination and compliance.
- Create a framework to identify, surface and report the key risks, operational deficiencies, SLA adherence, improvements and quality in the consumer business.
- Ensure adherence to the Group norms of Operational Risk and Compliance Policies.
- Customize Compliance tools to the business to ensure robustness in the Compliance/Regulatory/PI management framework. Ensuring strict implementation of self assessment process of all the units.
- Table the key gaps and issues to the business heads and follow up for process improvements.

Requirements

Arabic speaking retail banking risk/compliance officer

Bachelor Degree, preferably with MBA in Business/Banking

8+ years of which the past 5 must be in senior management role.

A proven and extensive track record gained within retail banking compliance, risk management and audit, from a large retail bank based in the GCC.

Significant experience of developing and managing quality and process improvement monitoring programs.
