Head of Corporate Credit

Job description / Role

On behalf of our client who are a well-established bank in the UAE we are looking for a Head of Corporate Credit.

Responsibilities:
- Credit monitoring responsibility for the regional watchlist portfolio of mid and large corporate clients, ensuring financial and non financial risks are identified, assessed and appropriately mitigated.
- Perform credit risk assessments on customer accounts, monitoring excesses, expired limits, past-dues and delinquency rates using risk control data, to identify and manage weaker transactions that require greater supervision.
- Identify and assess early warning risk triggers, liaising with Credit teams to formulate recommendations and strategies for the forbearance/restructuring of debt.
- Perform high-quality, timely credit analysis of distressed corporate transactions, formulating recommendations to alleviate cashflow/trading issues through active engagement with Relationship Managers.
- Monitor cash flows, account conduct, internal ratings, stipulated in the terms of facility documentation to ensure that the portfolio remains within acceptable credit quality standards.
- Lead the monthly Credit Risk Review Forums
- Challenge, recommend and approve credit requests for new and existing corporate transactions.
- Coordinate and lead the implementation of the Bank's Corporate Risk Monitoring framework

Requirements

- Finance degree holder and professional certifications highly regarded
- UAE banking experience in credit administration in mid and large corporates with a local bank
- Strong management and communication skills
- Organized, with strong eye for details
- Strong presentation and leadership skills
