Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Head of Group Model Validation - Group Capital and Portfolio Risk Governance

- To lead the management of model validation function, including prioritizing the review of existing and new IRB models
- To train I coach senior management on IRB concepts required to support IRB approach
- To author model framework or standards in line with regulatory requirements or international standards
- To conduct technical training and implement model framework and standards
- To be authorized to endorse a model as Fit-for-Purpose (FFP) within the scope of the model validation standards
- To highlight modelling issues that are not consistent with IRB requirements
- To perform annual IRB model review and recommendations
- To provide technical advice to portfolio analytical models (e.g. Economic Capital Modelling)
- To review appropriateness of analytical models used in stress testing and ICAAP
- To lead technical discussion with Group Risk Model Committee
- To update GRC, BRC, EXCO or other risk committees on technical assessment and application
- To represent Group at technical events in Central Bank, external stakeholders to discuss technical issues
- To lead, manage and train technical staff in more advanced risk techniques
- To support the revised IFRS9 reporting standards using Expected Loss
