Employment: Full Time

Our client, a reputable company is currently recruiting for an Head of HR & Administration. You will be directly reporting to the HR Director APAC/EMEA – Exhibitions

The Head of HR & Administration will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and professional HR service. Working closely with the HR Director, APAC/EMEA you will maintain, develop and implement HR strategy and policies and procedures for the Middle East office which support the division in achieving its business strategy and objectives.

You will carefully manage a complex and varied series of employee services and strike the right balance between cost and quality. You will frequently deal directly with the senior management team and departmental heads to ensure that human resource processes are properly communicated and well understood. You will also lead, develop and motivate the HR and Administration team in delivering a quality and customer focussed service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Senior Management team to deliver the HR Strategy, to ensure a proactive approach in managing the HR service across the business in line with strategic objectives;
- Forecast and prepare the annual budget by gathering relevant information, e.g. annual workforce plans, pay reviews and training requirements;
- Manage and monitor the HR and Administration budgets and track spend vs budget on an on-going basis, particularly for recruitment and training;
- Maintain and develop a current framework of policies and procedures ensuring accordance with local legislation;
- Participate in developing regional goals, objectives and systems and recommend necessary changes;
- Assist the Managing Directors in formulating and implementing Employee Engagement action plans
- Manage and recommend local benefit plans in liaison with the HR Director and CFO
- Advise and support managers on disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues ensuring all policies are adhered to;
- Ensure effective training programmes are delivered, e.g. Induction, Management Development, Appraisals
- Provide accurate and timely management information and reports on data such as staff turnover, sickness absence, cost per hire, training, etc.
- Provide strong and visible leadership of the HR & Administration teams and further develop their capabilities and ways of working in line with the strategy
- Coordinate the monthly payroll process and ensure it is completed accurately and to deadlines supporting the HR Assistant where necessary;
- Alongside the H&S Manager, maintain high standards of health & safety according to company policy and procedure, submitting requisite reports as and when required;
- Take responsibility for own learning and development
- Perform non-related HR projects and tasks as required, e.g. facilities and office management, general administration etc.

Requirements

- CIPD qualified or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role, including but not limited to leadership, managing change, workforce planning and budgeting
- Be able to co-ordinate and communicate HR strategy
- Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable
- Experience of working in the UAE/Middle East
- Spoken Arabic
- Previous experience of SAP HR
