Job description / Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) professional to become Head of HSE for Al-Futtaim Motors. This position will be based in Dubai and will report directly into the GM - Government Relations and HSSE. The main purpose of this role is to develop and deliver strategic objectives and plans to accomplish AF Motors' HSSE vision and ensure the company operates in accordance to national and international regulations and standards. The Head of HSE provides continuous support and advice to associates and managers as required to enable them to undertake their HSSE responsibilities at all sites.
The Head of HSE will develop, review and update HSE policies and procedures for all AF Motors divisions and will lead and review the HSE audit process of all AF Motors branches to provide effective tracking of health and safety performance. It will be the HSE Manager's responsibility to continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organisation through coordinating training programmes and awareness campaigns for managers, associates and third party contractors.
Requirements
You will hold a Bachelors Degree and will have at least 10 years work experience within HSSE with at least 4 years in a managerial role. Holding an NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent would be advantageous. With a proven track record in Health, Safety, Security and Environment you will have specific knowledge in Incident Reports and Investigation.
Experience within the UAE will be an advantage along with the ability to communicate in Arabic.
