Head of IT & Operations, Financial Services

Job description / Role

Our client is an established Financial Services’ Institution in the region who focus mainly on the SME sector. They are looking for a Head of IT & Operations to join their team who will, in conjunction with other members of staff, ensure business growth through directing and managing business operations to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the strategic objectives.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of IT & Operations responsibilities will be follows:
- Control and direct the following business lines: Operations, IT, Customer Services and Facilities Management in the region.
- Responsible for managing all IT projects including implementations of new systems and applications adhering to timeline and budget requirements.
- Design and manage the IT strategy to support all business requirements.
- Manage the implementation of the risk management structure.
- Maintain and improve MIS reporting and ensure that industry best practice is applied to all internal processes.
- Influence the business strategy to increase efficiencies and decrease deficiencies in all aspects of their back office operations.
- Additional general responsibilities

Requirements

- Eight to ten years of experience working within an Operations / IT / Finance focused role for a reputable banking institution.
- Excellent analytical, project management and leadership skills.
- Very good understanding of the IT functions within a Financial Services firm.
- Proven people management skills and ability to form strong relations with colleagues, higher management and stakeholders.
- Western Educated
