Head of Legal - Arabic Speakers Only - AED 65k

Excellent opportunity for an experienced licensed attorney, to act as a Head of Legal for a well known DIFC based Asset management company.

The person holding this position will be supervising the management of the legal function and the provision of legal services, some travel in the GCC required, including KSA.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise all legal matters and manage risk relating to the company's Operations compliance with applicable laws and regulations and government authorities.
- Provide timely and informative advice to the business units, on the legal aspects of their operations.
- Effectively manage the team of legal experts, para-legal employees within the Department, in terms of identifying and allocating tasks.
- Responsible for preparation of all relevant legal documents necessary in furthering the resolution of issues.
- Work with external legal advisers in order to ensure the timely and practical resolution of relevant issues.
- Update the business units with issues in progress and suggest methods for resolving issues as and when it is necessary.
- Ensure the timely resolution or progress of related business issues

Requirements

- Holding Degree, preferably master in Law from a recognized university.
- Experience with commercial contracts in UAE and preferably KSA.
- Having at least 10 years post qualification experience, especially with expertise in Corporate Commercial Law, with 5 years worked in managerial capacity
- A strong commercial ability to present the balance between legal and commercial interests.
- Fluent in Arabic, English and French languages.
- Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed to meeting critical deadlines
- A team player able to work within a multi-cultural / multinational environment
- Capable of multi-tasking and has excellent organizational as well as analytical skills
- Understands the implications of new information for both current as well as future problem solving and decision making.
- Values and promotes ethical business behaviors.
- Having excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills and be fluent in written and spoken English as well as Arabic.
