Charterhouse is working with a leading Regional development and investment organisation. Our client is looking to hire a Head of Legal for one of their newly created enterprises.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will take ownership of all legal issues in consumer and business lending, technology, consumer protection and financial services / operations.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be a qualified lawyer with at least 8 years’ PQE. You should ideally already be based in a MENA country with a track record in payment products / services and managing a legal team. You should also possess strong commercial contract drafting / negotiation experience relating to e-commerce.

It is essential you have had exposure to banking and payment regulations alongside anti-money laundering and privacy / data protection and other laws affecting payment products and consumer / business products. Experience in e-commerce, payments, credit cards or other credit and payments products would also be advantageous.
