Head of Legal - UAE - Leading Company

Search has been tasked with a high level assignment in the Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client, an leading contractor, is seeking a Head of Legal to assist with their expansion plans in the future.
The client is a contractor with a presence in throughout the Middle East. They have been operating in the GCC for a number of years and have build a reputation based on quality and professionalism, a reputation that has reflected in some of their most recent projects.
These projects include: water treatment plants, power station, pipeline construction, mechanical and electrical installations and turn-key industrial plants.
This is a replacement position. As such all application will be treated in confidence but the client will not be revealed until Search is confident that the senior applicant is of the correct profile and calibre for the position.
Requirements
Candidates will be comfortable with:
- EPC Contracting
- UAE dispute matters, including court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution
- Commercial advise relating to UAE laws
Candidates will need to be:
- Strong personality
- Senior level (8PQE+)
- Confident with their ability to manage and build a team
- Able to address senior staff including Board Members
- Have solid exposure to the UAE laws and regulations
- Ideally bilingual (Arabic & English)
Candidates will be ideally based in the UAE, either in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Candidates need to show commitment to the region and are looking to make this into a long term move.
