Head of Marketing - Al Futtaim Electronics - Dubai, U.A.E.

As a result of continuous success and expansion we are looking for a Head of Marketing. On this role you will assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the Al Futtaim Electronics division; for strategic market planning; market research programmes; field force activities, and control of the marketing budget. Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives. Plan and execute yearly marketing & communication programs by driving ATL & BTL activities through offline & online campaigns.

Obtain market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each product; directing promotional support. Maintain relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars. Influence present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends. Work closely with the company’s sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations. Work closely with the product management team to define marketing materials and programs. Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends. Defining innovative marketing communication tactics tailored to the regional markets.

This role will be based in Dubai. You will report into the Managing Director - Al Futtaim Electronics.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting role, you should have a Bachelors Degree specialised in Marketing / Mass Communication. MBA is an asset. You should have minimum 10+ years’ proven track record of success in senior marketing roles. Demonstrate a high level of experience especially in the consumer electronics / home appliance / retail industry. Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an asset.

Along with extensive marketing experience you must be confident, driven and a dynamic leader. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities. You will be required to work on your own initiative and therefore a proactive personality is crucial. You should be able to build strong working relationships, communicating with various levels of management.

Deep knowledge and proven track record in the international markets. You must be commercially aware and knowledgeable of the industry & our competitors and have the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment amidst frequent change. You will need to have excellent business acumen & be a strategic thinker.
