Head of MEP Services - Al Futtaim Group Real Estate - Dubai

The Head of MEP Services will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of MEP works & also meeting consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals for all projects executed by the Development department.

Key duties will include:
- Coordinating the MEP design and execution between design consultants and contractors and subcontractors
- Providing the planning input for the MEP works and monitor planning vs. progress on site
- Documenting project progress and/or delays through letters which can be used as contractual aids during disputes
- Leading and controlling the document flows
- Reviewing and certifying the monthly invoicing of the contractors/subcontractors
- Auditing the performance of MEP subcontractors
- Leading technical coordination meetings with subcontractors and project staff
- Providing technical input for offer requests and the awarding of MEP subcontracts to the contracts, procurement departments
- Leading and mentoring a team of mechanical and electrical managers on site
- Ensuring compliance of construction activity to best industry standards, international codes, planned timelines, allotted budget, company strategy and goals

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in an Electrical or Mechanical related subject area
- Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate or construction company
- Strong knowledge of MEP Systems (all aspects - design, function, installations, testing & commissioning and coordination with other trades)
- Knowledge of risk assessment and contingency planning
- Ability to manage multiple project site
