Head of Sales - Middle East

Purpose:
Lead the planning, coordination, efficiency, and expansion of the Middle East in the generation of profitable new business and customer retention. Set objectives & targets for the Middle East office inline with overall company objectives and in agreement with the Senior Management Team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Business Development
- Inline with overall company objectives, set sales targets and ensure growth targets for Middle East operations are met.
- Develop strategy and tactics to achieve targets including a scalable team structure to ensure sustainable growth
- Make money. Ensure that the operation is cash flow positive
- Ability to drive the entire sales cycle from cold calling to contract negotiations to include customer retention
- Managing customer service issues, including customer case escalations and proactive prevention of them.
- Identify through accurate tracking of activities all areas that require increased effort or training to ensure business and customer retention targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Ensure the consistent daily input of data entry in Salesforce and input of all new leads or partners.

Manage Team and Partners
- Recruit and evolve team and partners that are able to deliver goals
- Provide Management and drive to ensure high quality team performances
- Apply, monitor and police Sales and Account management framework
- Develop culture consistent with the values and mission statement of Whizz Education, maintaining high moral and ethical standards
- Ensure company objectives and targets are clearly communicated, understood and tracked.
- Conduct regular one to one meetings with each member of team, reviewing their ratios and statistics using whatever tracking system is available.
- Lead weekly team gatherings with sales and administration staff to update status and discuss future business.

Manage Cash Flow
- Manage budgets and forecasts to ensure good working capital and positive cash flow
- Monitor uses of cash flow and capital to ensure ROI and efficient use of funds
- Overall responsibility for the P&L as it relates to Maths-Whizz in the Middle East.

Operations and Corporate Governance
- Oversee operational processes for running the service and business (i.e. invoicing and cash collections)
- Ensure corporate governance is in place, with regard to legals and accounts
- Manage human resource requirements (i.e. benefits, payroll etc)
- Manage staff holidays to maximize the short school year. Holidays must be planned in advance with a view to not being on holiday when the majority of schools are open for business
- Manage day to day office standards of time keeping, mutual respect and professionalism.
- Report and communicate on progress of the operation to the board of directors and staff

Requirements

JOB SKILLS:
- Good business acumen
- Strategy – ability to develop, identify and oversee execution of strategy to achieve objectives
- Management skills - Strong communication skills to communicate and drive the strategy forward
- Drive, combined with strong time management and organizational skills
- High level expertise and understanding of the market, product, sales development
- Strong lead generation and negotiation skills and ability to close deals
- Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
- A leader as well as a team player

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- 3+ years successful business development experience in the Middle East
- Experience specifically in the K8 space, selling software as a service, ideally in maths would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to recruit, lead, motivate and manage a scalable sales team, in-house, in-field and through third parties
- Proven track record in building partner relations and loyalty to a company.
- 3+ years experience in general management including experience in business processes and corporate governance
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Must have UAE licence and own car.
- Ability to travel within the GCC is essential.
