Head of Sales and Business Development, Africa

Business development opportunity for a commercial professional with food industry experience, in developing the African market, needed for a growing F&B organisation.

A growing and award winning food manufacturing business based in the GCC is looking to hire a Sales Manager to establish the African market. As a leader within its field this business is growing at a rapid rate and has identified this region as a location of particular interest. You will be working with top level colleagues who all demonstrate a desire to drive the business forward through a mixture of strategic and operational excellence.

The business already has very successful ventures across the GCC, Middle East, India. The strategic decision to move into the African market comes from accounts this client has won across multiple geographies.

The main focus and challenge of the role is navigating the diverse range of products and geographies this role will cover; strategic planning will be essential.

Requirements

The candidate will be selling the products mainly to the QSR and Foodservice routes to market but this role is about ensuring correct delivery and execution and timely payment of products, so if you are a an entrepreneurial commercial person with a natural attention to detail attitude this could be the role for you.

Requirements:
- Significant experience within the African markets
- Significant experience within the FMCG industry
- An ability to communication with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- An detailed understanding of the way that different African markets work and related cultural sensitivities
- Understanding of distribution channels, supply chain and financial obstacles within Africa
- A fluent business-level English speaker, ideally you will speak French or another second language
- Degree educated, ideally with an MBA
- Ability to travel freely to all African countries
