Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
- Creating a production strategy and annual plans for the company
- Selecting and hiring technical crew members and actors
- Creating auditioning styles for testing new screen talent
- Determining loopholes and shortages in a manner that reduces the cost of corrective measures and minimizes production blunders
- Attracting new acting talent and finding adequate opportunities in a manner that benefits the company
- Determining work priorities, assigning tasks, and inspiring production crews to aim for achieving the best results
- Providing the adequate environment and training tools to develop the capabilities of the creative team
- Overseeing the final image of all projects and ensuring its compliance with the initial intended concepts
- Possession of a high level of cinematic and TV content understanding with knowledge about latest trends, schools, and currents
- Supervising shooting schedules, daily commercial aspects of production, and the work of field-based crews
- Making budget-related decisions in a manner that ensures the best possible result regarding the final product
- Supervising all production-related contracts to ensure its legal phrasing protects the company’s rights and guarantees the sound execution of its projects
- Creating a logistical plan and a detailed shooting schedule
- Supervising script breakdown for budget and scheduling purposes
- Supervising initial scout location plans and providing all necessary financial arrangements
- Work with the producers to create a shooting schedule that meets the scheduling needs/restrictions of the entire cast and crew, in addition to access to shooting locations
- Supervise creating a budget that includes crew members, equipment and locations
- Supervise hiring all crew members and contracting with various suppliers
- Supervise all lodging and transport facilities needed for actors and crew members during the entire period of the shooting schedule
- Supervising both schedule and budget to ensure compatibility with the original plan
- Monitoring any changes in budget during production phase and informing the studio about any deviation from the original terms of the initial budget
- Responsible for ensuring all locations and actors carry the correct basic requirements submitted to the production office and that all required location releases are handled individually and separately
- Serve as a communication link between local authorities and the director/crew members in a way that guarantees to adhere to all local regulations and negates the risk of closing the location – thus allowing the director/crew members to focus purely on the successful execution of their shooting operations
- Complement the daily production report which describes the shooting circumstances and informs about any deviation from the main shooting schedule

Requirements

- University degree in Mass Communication or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Must have a wide experience in cinematic or TV Production
- Able to plan, organize and manage a complex production operation involving several individuals, in various positions, and the ability to organize and schedule the entire project
- Excellent skills in accounting and budget management
- Excellent communication skills. Must communicate effectively and efficiently with studio personnel, including executives and heads of teams, along with governmental agencies and local authorities, equipment suppliers and recruitment personnel to ensure production speed and quality
- Knowledge about laws and regulations. Must be fully aware of safety and health regulations, insurance requirements, basic human resources issues, contracts, and labor law
- Fluent in Arabic and English
