Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Hospitalist, while under the supervision and direction of a Specialist, will be responsible for the medical care of patients and will be required to be involved in non-clinical hospital matters and care of any patient when required.

The Hospitalist will also be responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the Hospital and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

- Completion of a recognised higher professional education programme in Obstetrics and Gynecology would be an advantage i.e. RCOG
- Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Generic Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience at an appropriate level, and in an appropriate field, since gaining higher qualification
- Experience in a Western hospital setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes
- Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic language skills are well regarded)
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- High level of interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good computer literacy
