This role would be for Q Express, Souq.com's logistic provider based in Dubai, UAE.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Overall Employee relations within the UAE Business Unit, which would include:
- Employee Grievances, Disciplinary Actions, Escalations - HR guidance
- Coaching & Mentoring employees & line managers
- Recruiting and Interviewing candidates for the vacancies with the briefs as shared by the line managers.
- Responsible for rolling out strategic HR initiatives.
- Ability to interview at least and to negotiate salaries after the line managers have agreed on the candidate.
- Organizational Development and Space planning for growth.
- Performance Management and Appraisal Systems (firstly writing JD's and then agreeing with the line managers on key measurable objectives)
- Knowledge of U.A.E. labor laws.
- Conducting the Employee Orientation, Ability to conduct employee induction programs for new staff into the organization and (maintaining and capturing employee data, preparing induction packs, and so on).
- Employee Handbook/Guidelines and Policy development and documentation.
- Leave Updating & management.
- Employee relations, disciplinary issues, addressing employee grievances.
- Data management and updating for the group of companies and HRMIS.
- Company employee communication, (Newsletters, events, announcements and all relevant announcements).
- Compensation and benefits administration.
- Employee safety and health to be adhered to as per the federal UAE law.
- Drafting all contracts, visa coordination, etc.
- Overseeing the HR department staff and handling all issues involving employee complaints and questions that cannot be answered by other staff.
- Handling matters relating to staff medical insurance /Workmen's compensation insurance/travel insurance etc.
- Compile the staff needs from the GM and ensure the proper manpower equipment. Validate the needs and track the movements
- Ensuring polices and processes are followed and adhered by all employees and line managers.
- Performance Management which includes Appraisal System & Performance Development Plan. Recommend suitable rewarding schemes by benchmarking peers in similar job families.
- Oversee Incentive Programs for the eligible group of employees; this would include creating score cards for all employees under incentive plan & creating the score cards for the head of departments.
- Review and validate the recommendations related the incentives or bonus that is in line with the company policy.
- Data management and periodic reports as required.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree, preferably MBA in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources in the UAE, preferably with logistics background; with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
- Seeking highly qualified candidates who are strategic thinkers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. MBA - HR qualified individuals.
- Candidates must be intelligent and self-motivated professionals.
- Knowledge of U.A.E. labor laws.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring along with driving processes.
- Experience in managing confidential discussions and assessing data.
