Job description / Role
We are looking for a HR professional to manage the HR function of our Retail division. The role oversees the areas of:
- Talent acquisition, staffing & on boarding
- Personnel administration and payroll
- Employee relations and retention
- Succession planning & performance reviews
- Complying with legal requirements and enforcing adherence to requirements
- Government Relations
Additionally you will be responsible for:
- Providing information and reports on all HR-related matters
- Keeping track for any update with regards to changes to the laws, rules and regulations, changes in forms; formats, changes in other procedures with Dubai Government, Immigration, Embassy and relay such changes.
- Supporting key strategic projects from an HR point of view
- Handling license from Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, permits, Certificates of Registration in the Chamber of Commerce, Certificate from Civil Defense.
- Handling processing and attaining permits for advertisement display or signage, publishing, special promotions, etc. as required.
- Providing assistance to police and court cases, immigration and labor issues and other related matters.
Requirements
- Possess extensive knowledge in the fields of recruiting, labour law, HR development and personnel / payroll administration
- Have HR experience working in the retail industry
- Have the ability to successfully manage sensitive HR situations and employee relations issues
- Have very strong people, communication and leadership skills
- Have strong negotiation and conflict management skills
- Be self-confident and trust-worthy personality
- Have a high level of commercial thinking and understanding of business needs
- Be a native level Arabic speaker, fluent in English
