Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsible for the allocation and prioritization of the work of the HR coordinators
• Ensures that staff queries are quickly and accurately addressed, or referred to the appropriate person
• Conducts coaching and mentoring with employees and the HR team when required, with the guidance of the HR Manager
• Oversees and facilitates disciplinary hearings when required
• Attends to escalated employee/payroll inquiries and seeks guidance from HR Manager on issues for solutions
• Administration of warning letters and implementation of policies and procedures
• Provides appropriate recommendations on employee issues to employees and managers with the guidance of the HR Manager (as necessary)
• Assists the HR Manager in processing employee movements e.g. transfers, demotions, promotions and terminations including changes in employee benefits
• Conducts exit interviews and creates staff turnover reports
• Accountable for the headcount and monthly report
• Ensures accuracy of Time and Attendance System
• Participates in the development of the annual headcount budget
• Participates in the annual salary review process
• Responsible for salary reconciliations
• Oversees administration of payroll inputs
• Assists the Coordinators in the compilation of statistics / reports when needed.
• Responsible for processing requests for loans/advances/encashment
• Assists the Recruitment Teams with ad hoc recruitment processes
• Coordinates and conducts new employee orientation as required
• Provides assistance and advice to the HR Manager as and when required
• Acts as the HR Manager when required
• Ensures that employee and department confidentiality is maintained

Requirements

• Previous experience in Human Resources, preferably in a senior generalist role
• Experience providing leadership to junior HR team members
• Previous experience recruiting and on-boarding new employees
• Previous experience of providing advice and assistance to employees
• Previous experience working in a similar role in a hospital or medical setting
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with senior managers
• Good skills with the Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio
• Previous experience of working within a Human Resources Team
• An understanding of Allied Health Recruitment would be well regarded
