Job description / Role
A leading Real Estate Developer is looking for a Regional HSE Manager to join their team in UAE. The position will be based out of Dubai with responsibility across all Emirates.
The responsibilities of the role extend but are not limited to;
• Continue the implementation of company HSE codes and practises
• Ensure all departments are aware of their safety and environmental obligations
• Encourage the promotion of a “safety first” culture
• Carry out safety reviews in cooperation with other divisional managers
• Accident prevention, detection, reporting responsibilities
• Act as client representative with governmental and reporting bodies
• Training and development of HSE professionals
• Manage the integrated management system that incorporates OHSAS 9001, 14001 and 18001
• Carry out regular audits on departmental working practises
• Regular report writing on HSE performance
Requirements
The successful candidate must be IOSH and NEBOSH qualified and must have had at least 15 years experience, as well as 3 years experience in the MENA region.
The candidate must have a degree in a related field.
• Worked for a producing Mining or Quarrying company
• >10 years of experience in these industries
• >10 years experience in HSE
• Relevant degree and or exceptional vocational training and development
• NEBOSH qualification
• Excellent track record in safety
• Impeccable written and spoken English
Would be nice to have/be;
• Experience of operating in super pits/quarries
• Track record of managing large diverse teams with semi-skilled employees
• History of working in hot climates
