Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Keeps the Quality Manager informed of all Health & Safety related matters.
- Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assist with health and safety
- Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials
- Proper grooming at all times
- Attend training classes as per schedule
- Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments
- Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities
- Carries out inspections of workplaces and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance.
- Responds to and investigates concerns and complaints from workers/employers and takes
- appropriate action.
- Investigates accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.
- Responsible for the establishment of, and monitors the performance of, workplace safety and health committees.
- May participate in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminates information to the public.
- Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Resort's emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
- ?n case of high hazard area identified, close the facility area/work and report to HOD, GM and Security.
- Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when it is concerned.
- Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility
- Keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of Quality Manager.
- To train existing employees and new comers on a regular basis with live fire drills.
- Conducts and executes skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis

Requirements

University Degree in related field. Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel preferably in the UAE. Team management skills, computer skills and excellent communication skills. NEBOSH IGC certified. Has a qualification of Abudhabi Health & Safety practitioners course ADVETI Has a qualification of ISO 45001:2018 internal auditor. Can hold IOSH TECH membership. Has an up to date first aid training (08 hrs including CPR)
