We have a growing education and skills consulting practice across the Middle East. To further our growth we are building a team of Arabic and English speakers who would be available to work on temporary short term engagements with high profile clients on a range of education projects.

These are not full-time permant posts.

Our Consulting practice advises on a broad range of issues in the education and skills sector, from strategy through to implementation. Deep expertise in a number of aspects of education and skills in both the private and public sectors ensures that the advice we provide to clients is tailored to their particular needs. From defining the initial strategy to planning its development and implementing its outcome, Deloitte’s Consulting practice delivers end-to-end solutions to help our clients maximize their potential.

Requirements

As an Education and Skills Consultant working across the Middle East some of the things you can expect to do include: Support government departments and agencies advising on, and implementing, proposed changes to policy and practice; Help private and publically funded schools, universities and technical training institutes to plan and implement a variety of strategic and operational changes; Lead teachers and administrators through the process of educational change; Work with the training and development functions of businesses and government entities reviewing and planning learning and development interventions; Provide advice and support to other parts of DTME working in the Education and Skills sector; Research and draft a variety of reports and presentations;

Please note that this position is a freelancing position and you will be required to support projects as and when needed. You will therefore need to be flexible with timings and travel to accommodate projects within the education field.
- Minimum of five years first-hand delivery experience in the sector eg teaching/lecturing, leading/managing in school and/or vocational training and/or University in GCC/ UK / North America
OR
- Experience in an education and skills related role as civil servant / administrator in major school or group of schools, university, vocational training institution or group, or government/government agency involving the management of educational change.

AND
- Willing to travel and work away from home as required.
- Can demonstrate a work record of producing high quality technical written material in Arabic and/or Engilsh for a variety of audiences to tight deadlines, with minimal supervison or rework.
- Arabic speaker who can read/write Arabic, proficient in English with a minimum IELTS score of 7.5 or equivalent; Non-Arabic speakers speaking English as a first langage or with a minimum IELTS score of 7.5 or equivalent consdidered.
- Bachelors / Master’s Degree; Teaching / lecturing/training qualification preferred
