Employment: Full Time

An energetic, motivated and experienced HR & Training Manager is required for an international children’s brand with stores and franchises across the globe and 125 staff in the region. The brand has been present in the Middle East for over 10 years and has become a multi-million dirham turnover business within the UAE. They are also present in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar and this role will encompass these stores.

Reporting to the General Manager of the retail organisation, the role will provide complete training facilitation and support to the retail team and HR services to the company as a whole. Full Human Resources support for all departments in the company includes recruitment, people development, appraisals, general HR administration, developing HR policy and procedures, payroll, staff on boarding, inductions and exits. Additionally, you will manage the headcount and work within the HR budgets as agreed at the start of the calendar year. From a recruitment perspective, you will work to attract new talent, liaising with Line Managers for all vacancies and source appropriate personnel through on line portals and recruitment agencies on occasion. You will arrange interviews, coordinate feedback and manage the offer process. As part of the on boarding process, you will coordinate visa arrangements, set up personnel and payroll files and coordinate the induction and training agendas for all employees. The position also involves the provision of training at retail level for staff using the brand specific training manuals and developing new training topics and materials as required by the Department Managers. The successful candidate will continually seek out new creative and budget conscious ways to improve training and it is expected that you will have regular visits to the stores to build relationships with the team and understand their training needs. Furthermore, you will plan and implement annual appraisals, oversee incentive awards and schemes and manage annual leave and absence.

Requirements

This is a role best suited to a self-motivated, high energy HR Generalist with experience and a passion for training. This is a very hands on operational role and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to make confident and clear decisions in the best interests of the company. Our client is seeking those with fluency in English, strong Excel skills for budgeting purposes, experience in staff training regarding customer service, time and people management and the confidence to deliver company inductions. The ideal candidate will have experience within the retail, food and beverage or highly customer focused environment in order to understand specific HR retail related issues and also be experienced in all labour laws for the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. Travel on occasion to these countries is also required.
