Job description / Role
- Performs electrical engineering works for a wide range of activities within the MEP package of the project, specially HV and/or ELV.
- Provides technical support and assistance to MEP package of the project in developing and managing all electrical systems and infrastructure within the MEP package of the project.
- Drawing up plans using computer assisted engineering and design software.
- Reviews with project consultants all Electrical design details and submittals, ensuring compliance to regulations, value engineering and most economical solutions have been adopted.
- Serves as Department’s electrical representative to consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
- Works closely with other project management team members to ensure smooth coordination and achievements of excellence in all aspects of the project.
- Making sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations.
- Monitors progress of work (design/construction) and resolve obstacles to ensure completion on time. Carryout random checks on site to ensure adequate quality control are maintained.
- Overseeing inspection and maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Degree holder of Electrical Engineering.
- 5 + years of work experiences in HV and/or ELV is a must.
- Experience gathered GCC countries o Middle East is a plus.
- Should be aware of electrical systems generally
- Has knowledge of new electrical design and equipment.
- Should have good visualization skills and ability to work projects of complex nature.
- Understands of manufacturing processes, construction methods, engineering design and production.
- Has Knowledge of supervisory management and ability to handle technical subordinates.
- Has a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
