Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to our General Counsel based in the U.S, this position will be based in our Dubai office and will be responsible for developing the Department across our Middle Eastern Region, preparing, reviewing and negotiating international commercial contracts and agreements; creating corporate presences in new territories; managing litigation matters; supporting human resources on employment issues; and advising operations on the management of risk.

This is a broad role offering a fantastic opportunity to a senior lawyer with great people skills looking for a challenging career move within a globally successful company. We believe that you will need to have at least 12 years post qualified experience to take on this role.

Requirements

You will need to be commercially astute with a broad understanding of both legal and commercial practices with an experience of management and leadership. A working knowledge of FIDIC Suite of Contracts is preferred. Fluency in English is required and working knowledge of Arabic or French would be preferred, but not essential. You will have experience of building relationships and advising people at all levels from general project operations to senior management.

Candidates holding a Master’s Degree in Construction or Commercial Law (LLM) from a European or UK or US University would be preferred
