Job description / Role
Responsible for purchasing Indirect services in MEO following global GPSC policy and process. Achieve structural cost savings, working cross functionally with MEO departments to support internal stakeholders in contracting projects and ensuring selection of best suppliers whilst maintaining excellent relationships with the supply base.
Key Responsibilities:
Local 80% (percentage of allocated time)
- Sourcing & Contracting - Ensure competitive bidding process, review and negotiate costs and recommend business award.
- Approve sourcing decisions valued <$100,000 and create contracts / spot buys for services.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in conjunction with stakeholder for effective supplier management.
- Achieve annual GPSC cost reduction targets.
- Increase Purchasing efficiency through innovate thinking for sourcing projects.
- Develops effective pricing models for different purchases
- Responsible for timely delivery of suppliers’ contracts and on time contract renewals.
- Interact with internal stakeholders extensively (VSSM Operations, Brand, CCA, PR teams etc.) for better understanding of sourcing commodity.
- Maintain best cross functional relationships – provide GPSC process training to users, coordinate with Legal and Finance teams to manage complex contracting, support invoicing issues and resolve supplier payment concerns.
- Improve and enhance supplier relationships through effective communications and proactive supplier engagement.
- Implement global best practices such as utilization of benchmarking process, review global sourcing strategies for local implementation.
Global 20% (percentage of allocated time)
- Support regional GMIO business planning teams with reporting, analysis and process requirements for MEO and ensure smooth coordination between local and global teams.
- Complete global training path and participate in GMIO training conference calls.
- Maintain refreshed knowledge of GPSC global policy and procedures and ensure precise local implementation
Requirements
- Business Administration degree or similar discipline.
- Proficiency in English language
- 1-2 years in purchasing or similar function
