Employment: Full Time

The Information System Manager is responsible for managing, developing and innovating the assigned function. He/she needs to define and execute the strategic plans while effectively managing all resources. Furthermore, he/she designs and implements all processes and procedures ensuring high quality services as well as information security and proper data ownership.

The person holding this position also needs to able to analyse business cases for all projects from risk and benefits perspective. He/she is responsible for supporting the business users and provide them with sound technical and system solutions to their business needs.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively and efficiently manage, develop and innovate the assigned function in order to support the overall strategy of the IT Department and to meet the given objectives.
- Define the strategic plan and prioritize the required actions to ensure that it is in line with the overall organizational strategic plan.
- Execute the strategic plan ensuring that the established objectives, plans and tasks are understood by both business and IS and all are delivered as per expectations.
- Effectively manage all resources within the assigned function and prepare relevant accurate performance reports on each to ensure that the resource utilization is in line with the business priorities and strategies.
- Lead, support and coach the assigned team to ensure their full potential is being utilized and developed.
- Determine and implement processes as well as administrative policies, procedures and documentation for the assigned function to ensure delivery of high quality services, paying specific attention to controls, risk management, information security, system data ownership and efficient segregation of responsibilities.
- Establish fair transparent and comparable evaluation of business cases to ensure a thorough understanding of financial worth, risk of not delivering capability and the risk of not realizing the expected benefits in all projects.
- Provide effective and timely support to RAK FTZ business users to ensure that their overcome any current system challenges and in order to improve the system functionality for the future.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or business administration, and/or recognized equivalent in work experience.
- Additional certification in SAP or other relevant field.
- Minimum 10 year experience in information systems out of which at least 5 years in supervisory/managerial roles.
- Extensive working knowledge specifically in the implementation of FI/CO, RE-FX, CRM.
- Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative and multicultural environment.
- Outstanding achievements in IT and technology development (with recommendations).

Required Skills:
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Strong SAP Knowledge and demonstrated successful experience implementing SAP projects and/or managing SAP resources and finance, with short/dictated timelines.
- Strong project management skills and proven ability of planning and delivering IS solutions that answer business problems.
- Excellent team leading skills and strong understanding of different cultures. Ability to facilitate team building.
- Capacity to manage pressure, meet deadlines under demanding conditions and manage several projects concurrently.
- Strong drive for continuous improvement and ability to support change. Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative.
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to communicate ideas in user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
